Kansas History Day Winners

Congratulations to Lillian Wen and Cooper Self for first and second place in the Kansas History Day competition.  Wen, a student at Robinson Middle School, won for her essay on The Pill:  Gateway to Women’s Autonomy.  Self, a Topeka High School student, won for his essay entitled, U.S. Interstate Highway System:  A Turning point in Transportation and Communication.  Winners will advance to compete at the National History Day competition June 9-13 in Washington D.C.
