TPS & NEA-T Approve Agreement
NEA-T members have ratified a professional agreement with Topeka Public Schools. Nancy El-Amin, a teacher and member of the NEA-T negotiations committee said, “One of the things we appreciate about our contract is that it continues to provide us due process rights which we very much appreciate having. That was a big factor for the group.”
Deputy Superintendent Larry Robbins said, “We worked in a collaborative manner to reach this point. We are just happy to say that an agreement has been reached that is mutually acceptable to the Topeka Public Schools Board of Education and NEA-T.”
The Topeka Public Schools Board of Education approved the agreement at its May 15th meeting.
