Topeka High School and Youth Entrepreneurs graduates Betsy Johnson and her brother Berry Wanless will be featured on an upcoming episode of ABC’s “Shark Tank.” The show features successful, wealthy, self-made tycoons who give promising entrepreneurs the chance for their own success in the business world. The hopeful entrepreneurs pitch their business idea to the “sharks,” which includes billionaire Mark Cuban (Dallas Mavericks owner) and Lori Greiner (“Queen of QVC”), among others.
Johnson and Wanless are hoping to secure investors for their product, SwimZip. SwimZip is a line of sun protective zip-up swimwear for children. Co-founder and Vice President of SwimZip Berry Wanless says “We’re proud of the growth of (our product), and we went to the sharks on Shark Tank because we believe that they can help us grow our business with their experience and contacts.”
The episode will air on Friday, January 24th at 8:00 on ABC. Good luck, SwimZip!
